New Montréal Sketches: Three Landmarks, One City

New Montréal Sketches: Three Landmarks, One City

Montréal is one of those cities that resists a single sketch. It's a place of centuries-old stone streets and bold modern landmarks, of quiet hilltop basilicas and waterfront energy that runs well into the night. French in character, cosmopolitan in practice, and unlike anywhere else in Canada — Montréal has been on the drawing list for a while, and three new sketches are now ready.

The new Montréal collection covers the Old Port waterfront, the oldest street in the city, and the great basilica that crowns Mont Royal. Each sketch is available as an art print, greeting card, canvas tote, and magnet.

Rue Saint-Paul

Rue Saint-Paul is the oldest street in Montréal — a 17th-century thoroughfare running through the heart of Vieux-Montréal, lined with stone buildings, galleries, restaurants, and the everyday energy that defines Old Montréal. The sketch captures the street in full motion, with the silver dome of Marché Bonsecours and the tower of Montréal City Hall rising in the background.

Saint Joseph's Oratory, Mont Royal

The largest church in Canada and one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the world, Saint Joseph's Oratory crowns the northern slope of Mont Royal — its great copper dome visible from across the city. The sketch captures the Oratory from the approach, with a statue of Saint Joseph in the foreground and the broad walkway leading upward toward the basilica, the surrounding gardens framing the scene with quiet calm.

La Grande Roue de Montréal & Marché Bonsecours

La Grande Roue de Montréal is the tallest observation wheel in Canada — 60 metres above the St. Lawrence River, a bold and luminous presence along the Old Port waterfront that has quickly become one of the city's defining modern landmarks. The sketch places the wheel at the centre of the composition, with the silver dome of Marché Bonsecours anchoring the background and the roofline of Montréal City Hall completing the scene — old and new Montréal in a single frame.

The full Montréal collection also includes the Montréal Mini Luxury Puzzle — 150 pieces featuring the city's most iconic landmarks in one compact format.
