Most corporate gifts get a glance. This one gets an hour and a half at somebody's kitchen table, with your brand in their hands the whole time. They build it, they photograph it, and the tin stays on a shelf long after the wine and the branded notebooks have gone.
Every custom puzzle starts as a collage. We take your location and pull together seven or so points of interest, the landmarks, the signage, the details people recognise without being told, and arrange them so there is something worth finding in every corner. Then it is drawn entirely by hand. What you end up with is an artwork that has never existed before and exists nowhere else.
Brands use them as corporate gifts, conference giveaways and client thank yous. Gift shops, museums, hotels and visitor centres stock them as the piece of their town that visitors actually take home rather than leave in a drawer. If you have a location, a building or a scene worth looking at, it can be a puzzle.
The one rule is that it has to be worth solving. Architecture, waterfronts, streetscapes, a landmark people would recognise from the roofline alone, a factory sitting in its own landscape, a mascot somewhere your customers know. Plenty going on, plenty of colour, something to hunt for. Portraits and pets do not work, and neither does a logo on a plain background, because there is nothing in it to solve.
We always co-brand. Your name and ours sit together on the tin, with the artwork credited on the back, so it reads as a piece made for you rather than something borrowed. How far you take the packaging is up to you: our standard tin, a custom tin of your own, or our tin wrapped in a printed sleeve carrying your branding. Each one is a step up in cost and a step up in how much of the shelf is yours.
Puzzles are produced in quarterly runs with a minimum of 300 per design, so the earlier we start the sooner it lands. Tell us the location and roughly what you have in mind, and we will come back with a collage mock up before a single line is drawn.
