Peggy's Cove has always felt like home to me, not just the lighthouse, but the fishing village wrapped around it, the working wharf, and the calm that settles in once you stop and just listen to the water.
That's why I'm proud to be part of the @theroyalekittens Canadian Artist Collection, turning their tissue boxes into a work of art that reflects what home is to me. Similar to my sketch of the Public Gardens, this sketch also carries a corner of Nova Scotia, this time Canada's Ocean Playground. It uses the collection's shared palette with the reds of the boats and rooftops set against the blues and greens of the coast, connecting my view of home to every other artist's view of theirs.
The question behind this whole project is a simple one: what feels like home to you? For me, it's granite rock, salt air, and a village that hasn't lost its rhythm.
