The Halifax Public Gardens is one of my favourite city corners. It's a quiet Victorian escape right in the middle of downtown, where the paths wind, the pond reflects, and the pace of the city slows down for a minute.
That's why I'm proud to be part of the @theroyalekittens Canadian Artist Collection, turning their tissue boxes into a work of art that reflects what home is to me. My sketch carries a corner of Nova Scotia, using the collection's shared palette of warm colours of autumn trees set against the blue sky and green vegetation of the gardens, connecting my view of home to every other artist's view of theirs.
